PRLog -- Janice L. Wilson is a program instructor at Mahoning County Jail. Janice has vast experience in adult education, workshop development, and group dynamics. In her present capacity, she is responsible for prepping inmates and parolees for their General Equivalency Diploma (GED) exam. Janice teaches critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, prepares lesson plans and course materials focused on English writing and comprehension, literature, social studies, science, and mathematics, and monitors and documents student progress. Janice is well known and highly regarded for her dedication, integrity, and genuine enthusiasm, and credits her success to passion, diligence, solid leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and to her family, many of whom held positions in law enforcement. An avid believer in the importance of education, Janice pursued and obtained a bachelor’s degree in education and English from Youngstown State University. In addition to her duties at Mahoning County Jail, Janice serves as a makeup artist for Clinique and also coaches soccer. Strongly committed to altruistic endeavors, she donates generously to organizations that benefit breast cancer research. In her spare time, Janice enjoys travel, reading, and being with friends and family, especially her two daughters, Cassidy and Karliana.
