By: City and County of Swansea The second of the three summer performances, Falstaff, will be broadcast on Wednesday 30 May from 7.20pm. The evening will also feature South Wales group ‘Pres Morganwg’ who will perform a number of classical pieces from the Baroque era live in Castle Square before the screening, starting at 6.30pm, and during the intermission. Verdi’s scintillating Shakespearian comedy is a feast of romance, intrigue and comic confusion. This lavish and exciting new production is set to captivate BP Summer Big Screen audiences all over the UK. Conductor Daniele Gatti aims to bring an authentic Italian sparkle to a joyful work performed as part of the World Shakespeare Festival, which is produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company for London 2012 Festival.
