When asked about how this all came about founder of Jus Jokin’ Comedy Lounge, Charles “Comedian Ice Cream” Washington responded,

“Touring clubs all over the country gave me the vision and desire to provide a place where comedians can come to sharpen their skills, entertain, and simply grow. About Dave and Buster’s

In Little Arkansas in the late 1970’s a man named Buster ran a favorite restaurant that boasted casual elegance, warm historic ambience and wonderful eclectic food served up by some of the friendliest people in town. While next door Dave ran "Slick Willy's World of Entertainment where people were almost irresistibly drawn by his selection of outrageous fun and games for big people. The two young entrepreneurs and neighbors became fast friends and quickly realized they had a unique traffic phenomenon as patrons would often be seen going from one business to the other. The idea to put both establishments under one roof began to form.  By December of 1982, the doors were opened on the very first "Dave & Buster's." on Restaurant Row in Dallas Texas. Today Dave and Buster’s is known around the world for great food and big fun served up by the friendliest people in town. This has remained the Dave and Buster’s guiding principle.
