Hosted by Expos Your Business, the expo will take place at the Hilton Long Island on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2; attendees can register for $20 at the door or $10 in advance at http://www.ExposYourBusiness.com.

"The Long Island Real Estate Expo & Business Renaissance is an important industry event spanning the areas of commercial and residential real estate; franchising and business; and construction and development. A tremendous educational resource, the Long Island Real Estate Expo & Business Renaissance will feature dozens of valuable seminars, panels, and even several classes where attendees can earn free Continuing Education (CE), Continuing Legal Education (CLE), and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

In commercial real estate, Colgate Real Estate Advisors LLC founder, CEO, and General Counsel Larry Haber's "Commercial Lease Restructurings, Modifications & Workouts" seminar on Friday at 11 a.m. will offer a timely look at how the state of the economy has affected the commercial leasing environment. Here, Haber will discuss the business opportunities present for attorneys, brokers, accountants and other real estate professionals as commercial tenants look to revise their existing leases. Also timely, the expo's "Green Lease Negotiations" panel will discuss the accounting and legal technicalities of eco-friendly building improvements and their potential tax benefits. Moderated by Vince Capogna, the Executive Director and Advocacy Committee Chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council's Long Island Chapter, the panel will start at 12 p.m. on Friday. The Long Island Real Estate Expo & Business Renaissance is also slated to feature a range of residential-themed seminars, including "Home Selling Process- Start to Finish," a guide from Prudential Douglas Elliman's Sheryl Hecht, which will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Catering to attendees of all stripes, the Long Island Real Estate Expo & Business Renaissance will additionally include a range of events covering the areas of franchising, construction, and development. Franchise Consultant Tom Scarda, of Franchoice, will head up many of the Long Island marketing expo's sessions on this topic. Scarda will present "Franchising 101: Seven Steps to Choosing the Right Franchise," a seminar, both Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m., and host a "Franchising in Today's Economy" panel at 11 a.m. on both days with panelists Jeff Jervik, CEO of Fitness Together, and Geoff Seiber of FranFund. Covering development, Eric Alexander, the Executive Director of Vision Long Island, will host "L.I. Focus: Transforming LI's Downtowns" on Friday at 11 a.m. A veteran figure in commercial and residential development, Alexander's work at Vision Long Island has lead to more than 30 public and 40 private Smart Growth projects for the region.
