"Good Morning. I'll be on KDWN 720 am, Alan Stock Show, tomorrow. This weekend I contemplated my priorities, my family and my campaign. I arrived at a decision that will be announced on Alan's show. Some of you will be shocked by my announcement; some of you will applaud it. Either way, I've given this important announcement a lot of thought; I've run it up the flag pole and around the race track. I believe it's the right thing to do".

Brent Jones got onto the SD9 race to help strengthen the Republican Party and build a strong conservative GOP. Many in the party share Brent’s conservative ideals.  Subgroups within the GOP like the Tea Party and Ron Paul followers have felt their voices are not being heard. When Brent Jones got into the race his goal was to be active in uniting the party and all of the different factions within the NVGOP.
