PRLog (Press Release) - May 29, 2012 - Branford, CT; The Pat Munger Construction Company recently completed a 1200 sq-ft. addition to the existing Roses for Autism facility located on the Pinchbeck Rose Farm in Guilford, CT.

Roses For Autism is the first business venture for Growing Possibilities, a nonprofit organization founded by Ability Beyond Disability.  The renovations allow for improved operations and increased rose production by expanding the retail facility, creating greater packing room space and improving the efficiency of the greenhouse.  "The vision of Roses For Autism is to create a replicable model for employing adults with autism" said Jim Fanning, President and CEO of Ability Beyond Disability. "So, the renovation also includes a new classroom environment for individuals who participate in the organization’s career training program."

Munger was general contractor for this wood frame handicap accessible addition.  Along with work performed by its own employees, Munger managed a team of sub-contractors who "stepped up and did a great job", said Roy Lamberton, Munger's Project Manager.  "Our challenge was to meet the Town of Guilford's historical aesthetic requirements, create a low maintenance exterior, construct a roof line that blended with the existing structure and to complete the project within an aggressive four month window."

Governor Danell Malloy and state representative Pat Widlitz attended the groundbreaking ceremony along with other community leaders who were essential in securing funding for this project.
