May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Following a long career in professional services, Sherry Bevan has launched her own consultancy business Sherry Bevan Consulting Ltd to provide advice, support and coaching on service management, customer service, internal communications and change management.

“I want to bring my experience to firms looking to improve their service or communicate effectively with their users during rollouts,” says Bevan. “I have worked inside law firms and I have worked for an IT outsourcing company so I have seen the best and worst from both sides. Often the service desk is the first IT function to be outsourced. Is that the best option? Maybe, maybe not. I want to help firms explore their options and be sure that IT is working efficiently, whether during business as usual or while going through major changes. I believe it is essential to see IT from the users’ perspective and help the business understand how good their internal IT is.”

Until recently, Bevan worked for Intelliteach as their UK Business Manager and helped the global leader in 24-hour service desk support for legal professionals to launch its first international office. As well as taking on responsibility for day-to-day management of the UK office, serving as the lead contact on all UK client accounts and project managing service transitions, Bevan was the principal researcher and analyst for all Intelliteach articles and publications including the industry-leading Guru's Guide.

Bevan has over 25 years of experience in the legal service and technology support arena and has held senior service management roles within the global law firm, financial, and management consulting areas. Prior to joining Intelliteach, she spent 10 years with McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, a 2,300 user Global 100 law firm, fulfilling various IT management and service positions. Before McDermott, she was Arthur Andersen’s UK Tax & Legal Technology Support Manager, responsible for all aspects of IT services for the chartered accountants’ UK Tax & Legal Practice.

Bevan has been a regular speaker and facilitator at legal conferences and IT events, and was a founding member of the UK Document Excellence Group (UKDEG), a not-for-profit user group established in 2004 by like-minded individuals working for law firms challenged with document production issues.
