Intuit founder Scott Cook gives a sneak peak into the topic to discuss at the World Innovation Forum

Cook will delve into the topic of encouraging innovation within a company during his lecture at the NetCom Learning and HSM-promoted WIF in New York City next month

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Scott Cook, founder of Intuit, is part of a roster of highly acclaimed business leaders set to speak in June at the World Innovation Forum promoted by NetCom Learning and HSM. Cook recently gave a preview of his WIF topic on business innovation when he spoke to Inc., magazine about the importance of innovation in the article,8 Ways to Foster Innovation in Your Company.

In the article, Cook (http://www.netcomlearning.com/wif/scott_cook.phtml) explained that one of the most significant ways to encourage innovation within a company is to give employees some latitude to let their own creativity flow. He said Intuit allows employees to allocate time to new ideas. "hat's how we developed many of our products and features," he said in the article.

It's that forward thinking that has led people to consider Cook as being ahead of the technology curve. He'll bring his thoughts on innovation to the World Innovation Forum (http://www.netcomlearning.com/wif/World_Innovation_Forum_New_York_2012_promotion.phtml?advid=834), June 20-21, at the New York City Center.

Russell Sarder (http://www.russellsarder.com), CEO of NetCom Learning, which is co-producing the WIF, said having Cook in the lineup of such notables is an exciting opportunity to learn from a great innovator.

"Scott Cook's track record of innovation with companies like Intuit gives him a wealth of experience from which to draw, and the business professionals will definitely find useful information to take away from this lecture," Sarder said.

Cook's World Innovation Forum lecture, "Cultivating Innovative Ideas that Endure," will address the occasional need for companies to turn themselves upside down sometime in their life cycle and the steps needed to make innovation a deep structure capability of an organization. He will explore innovation and strategy, specifically analyzing decision making by hypothesis and leadership by experiment. Cook's lecture will also discuss customers, evangelists, promoters and innovation catalysts, and explain how to use new skills building to get past innovation roadblocks.

In addition to Cook, the event will draw some of the most forward-thinking minds in business. Clay Shirky, Jean Claude Biver, Russell Stevens, Ray Kurzweil, Guy Kawasaki, Jane McGonigal, Mohanbir Sawhney, Sir Ken Robinson, Andrew Winston and Henry Chesbrough are among the business leaders offering insight from their experience at the event.
