By: VNA HealthCare The donation was presented to Ellen Rothberg, President and CEO, VNA HealthCare by Michael Morris, Assistant Director, Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority. “CHEFA is very pleased to be supporting VNA HealthCare and is committed to helping those in need in the communities where we serve,” said Morris. “Through this grant, we are hopeful that more residents in the greater Hartford and Waterbury areas will receive quality home delivered nutritious meals, regardless of age or disability status.” “This grant will provide about 5,000 home delivered, nutritious meals to over 200 individuals in need. Such a partnership of public and private dollars will help ease Connecticut’ About CHEFA CHEFA recently announced $1 million in grants to 23 nonprofit agencies throughout the state. CHEFA is a quasi-public agency created by the State Legislature to help Connecticut healthcare and educational institutions, and other not-for-profit entities obtain tax exempt financing. CHEFA is self-sustaining and receives no taxpayer funds.
