‘Gorgeous Things Sweetie’ is the brainchild of Pauline Barrow, joint-owner and co-founder of Rosehill Lodges. It was born out of a desire for a shop in which to offer Rosehill’s customers that little bit extra. Pauline, who has a serious knitting addiction, is pleased she now has an outlet for all her hand-knit creations as well as satisfying her love of shopping and selling. The name was inspired by ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ characters Eddie and Patsy from this year’s new series, where Patsy asks, “Yes, but Eddie, if you open this shop, what would you sell in it?” To which Eddie replies, “All sorts of gorgeous things, Sweetie!” as if there could be any question about that. And so it was...
All at Rosehill Lodges are hoping that it will prove to be extremely popular with guests and will prove to be a great opportunity for some of their local suppliers, like Pure and Balmy and Tamar Valley Organics, to have an additional local outlet, as well as promoting some rare and exclusive items such as “Flobibs” and “Tiny Toes”.
