The new Copthorne hotel will be the group’s third Copthorne in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when it opens The four-star property will offer comfortable and convenient accommodation in the holy city. As the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the site where the Quran was composed, Mecca receives more than two million pilgrims every hajj, and an estimated 13 million visitors in total per year.
The volume of religious visitors puts increasing pressure on the city’s tourism infrastructure, and the demand for quality accommodation is high. The Copthorne by Millennium Makkah hotel will offer 735 guest rooms in total, with 615 standard twin rooms, 28 standard King rooms and 90 suites, ranging from Standard Suites to spacious Grand Suites. The hotel will also offer two restaurants and a health club.
