Writer/director Ben Mazzotta, producing partner Maria Kennedy (The Limits, Now You Know), and co-writer Brad Abraham (Hell For Breakfast, Stonehenge Apocalypse, RoboCop: Prime Directives) are working on a tight 10-day schedule for their self-funded micro-budget movie. A long way from Ryerson film school, writer, director, editor, storyboard artist, animator, and visual effects artist Mazzotta crafts a truly innovative thriller that takes the home-video found-footage style to new heights of tension and suspense.
Utilizing hand-held filmmaking techniques with desktop computer- generated visual effects to create a hyper-realistic, spine-tingling viewing experience, THE PICCO INCIDENT will feature up-and-coming actors Scott Walker as Bruce Picco, Alicia Micallef as Anne, Gillian Abbott as Amy, and Brendan Nasr as Jack.
The film will be open for international distribution deals in late 2012.
