PRLog (Press Release) - May 28, 2012 - Leading provider of advanced cell-based screening technologies and services, Cellectricon will be exhibiting at the European Laboratory Automation (ELA) conference and exhibition from 30-31 May. Onsite, Cellectricon will showcase and launch the Cellaxess® Elektra Discovery System for automated cellular electric field manipulation, and the recently launched Dynaflow® Resolve System. Furthermore, Dr. Johan Pihl, Cellaxess Product Manager, will be at booth #99 to provide both product information, and to present a poster on "High Throughput Transfections of Primary Neuronal Cells in HCA Applications".

ELA will provide researchers interested in cell-based applications, the opportunity to find out more about Cellectricon’s specialist systems. Research applications for primary cells, neurones and stem cells using Cellaxess® include; small molecule screening, through stimulation and voltage control of cell cultures; genomic screening, by transfection of siRNA and cDNA; and lead identification and target validation, via the delivery of small molecules, antibodies and peptides into cells.

Cellectricon will also showcase the newly launched Dynaflow® Resolve System, an add-on to existing patch-clamp setups that offers solution exchange at unsurpassed speed, control, and flexibility. Dynaflow® Resolve System drastically reduces experimental set-up and allows for reproducible execution of precise and robust patch-clamp experiments with minimal compound consumption. The system’s unique flexibility allows for the recording of any ion channel current, using any cell type, any compound, and for any experiment. The cost-effective microfluidic Dynaflow® Resolve chip incorporated is reusable, has 16 channels and is made of glass. The system also includes a computer controlled scan stage used to translate chip movements, software to control and pre-program the movements of the scan stage, and a pump to drive the liquid flow.

Visit booth 99 at ELA from 30-31 May to find out more about how Cellectricon can improve your cell assay experiments. For more information on Cellectricon, visit www.cellectricon.com
