Along with President of NMOA, the President of the United States encourages job growth and economic growth in the U.S. The article stated that President Obama wants to provide tax incentives to companies that shift foreign jobs back to the U.S., and rescind existing credits for those that move work overseas (1).
“This contest is strictly promoting ‘American Made’ products. We want to give inventors and smaller manufacturers an opportunity to get their product noticed,” commented John Schulte, President of the National Mail Order Association. “American manufacturing has taken a back seat to cheap exported labor, and there are millions of Americans who depend on a job that is tied to American manufacturing, from the large companies to the small mom and pop operation.”
Voters, via social media, will get to see products they never knew existed, rank how much they like the product using a 1-5 star system, and be able to communicate feedback about a product to the manufacturer. Drawings for free products will be held for registered voters.
Contestants will submit their original products to the official contest website and online voters will decide the winner.
