The Comedy-O-Rama Hour is the brainchild of husband and wife Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) and Lorie Kellogg. After a successful four year run on Sirius XM Radio, the improvisational comedy radio theater hour moved to Cult Radio-A-Go-Go!
On this week's Comedy-O-Rama Hour, entitled "Seedling Fever Hits Ranger Lorie," it is Memorial Day Weekend when the characters of Camp Waterlogg (voiced entirely by Joe Bevilacqua and Lorie Kellogg) visit Four Winds Farm to buy starter plants. Meanwhile, two locals (Played by June Foray and Nancy Cartwright) talk about a big garage sale just ending.
June Foray is best known as the voice of many animated characters (particularly Lucifer from Cinderella, Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Cindy Lou Who, Jokey Smurf, Witch Hazel, Granny, Natasha Fatale and Nell Fenwick). Her career has encompassed radio, theatrical shorts, feature films, television, record albums (particularly with Stan Freberg and Daws Butler), video games, talking toys and other media. Foray voiced the wife of the man getting dunked ("Don't tell him, Carlos!") in Pirates of the Caribbean. Foray was one of the founding members of ASIFA-Hollywood, the society devoted to promoting and encouraging animation.
In 2011, Foray reprised her role as Granny in Cartoon Network's new series, The Looney Tunes Show. That year, she received the Comic-Con Icon Award at the 2011 Scream Awards. She also appeared as Granny in the theatrically released Looney Tunes short, "I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat", which was shortlisted for Academy Award consideration.
In 2012, Foray received her first Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her role as Mrs. Cauldron on The Garfield Show. At age 94, she is the oldest entertainer to ever be nominated for an Emmy Award.
Nancy Cartwright (born October 25, 1957) is an American film and television actress, comedian and voice artist. She is best known for her long-running role as Bart Simpson on the animated television series The Simpsons. Cartwright voices other characters for the show, including Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, Kearney, and Database.
Cartwright received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 1992 for her performance as Bart in the episode "Separate Vocations" and an Annie Award in 1995 for Best Voice Acting in the Field of Animation. Bart was named one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century by Time, and in 2000, Bart and the rest of the Simpson family were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard.
Four Winds Farm is a 24 acre diversified organic farm located in Gardiner, in southern Ulster County, of which 4 acres are used to grow vegetables, primarily heirloom and open pollinated varieties for better flavor and for seed saving. The remainder is used to raise lamb, beef and egg laying chickens, which supply us generously with natural fertilizer. Our farm-generated manure compost allows us to grow vegetables using a method that is very different from conventional farms. For more information, go to: http://www.localharvest.org/
