Christian TEFL's web debut offers a unique blend of online TEFL courses and mission placements

PRLog (Press Release) - May 25, 2012 - Aimed at those interested in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, the Christian TEFL website boasts a range of mission placements alongside its TEFL training courses. This will enable Christians to use their new ability to teach English in a mission setting. Christian TEFL: http://www.christiantefl.org  is a registered UK charity and will share 100% of its profits amongst its mission partners. These include Interserve, TeachBeyond, Cambodia Action and ReachAcross. Uniquely, it is the TEFL trainees who will decide which organisations will benefit from their course fees.

The Christian TEFL website brings both mission placements and TEFL training together in one place. Speaking about his vision for the charity, William Bradridge, founder and Course Director said:

‘We are a meeting place for Christians who want to train to teach English, and mission organisations that are waiting for people to reach out and serve, by teaching English to share the Gospel ‘

There is huge demand to learn English worldwide. In poorer locations, English is a gateway to a better future which makes the teaching of English an ideal skill for missionaries to acquire. Elsewhere, the qualification enables EFL teachers to access countries usually denied to Christian evangelists. While many of the mission placements on the CT site are overseas, there are also plenty of opportunities to teach English closer to home. Local churches offer classes to internationals within their congregations to help them integrate better into church life. Others give free English classes to immigrants and asylum seekers who would otherwise have no contact with the church.

Founder William Bradridge has already run a successful online TEFL training company, http://www.global-english.com since 1997. Both organisations are accredited by the Accreditation Council for TESOL Distance Education Courses (ACTDEC).
