Here are some latest updates from the university: On-line application system improved The university has just improved their on-line postgraduate application form which can now be used with attachments so all the necessary paperwork can be submitted swiftly and efficiently: Application/ The deadline for applications for September 2012 start is 24th August 2012. The enrolment dates are: Undergraduate students 11th September 2012, Postgraduate students 17th September 2012 Support to meet English Language requirements LJMU English Language entry criteria will range from IELTS 6.00 to 7.00 depending on the course chosen. If students could not achieve the Standard English language requirement, they might be offer a chance to join the presessional english course offered by the university. Pre-sessional English Language courses can be offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students for a period of 4, 8 or 12 weeks. The courses are aiming to help students to increase an IELTS score by 0.5 with each block of four weeks and therefore a 12 week course of study will lift an IELTS score by 1.5 IELTS. The 2012 pre-sessional English Language course start dates are: 4 week course starting 06/08/12 8 week course starting 09/07/12 12 week course starting 18/06/12 £1000 Academic Award For all international students who has been offered a place in the university and finally enroll, a £1000 academic award will be offered to help towards the cost of studies and no deposit is required.
