Let The Matching Begin: Fashion Start-Ups & Funding

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- WILMINGTON, DE - FashInvest, the first venture capital conference for emerging growth companies with Branded Goods, Fashion Tech, Fashion and Retail, will hold its 2nd Annual Speed-Dating Pitch Session on June 21st in New York City. Only 30 emerging companies will have the exclusive opportunity to present their business ideas to the most active institutional, corporate and angel investors in the region.

Sponsored by private equity law firm Duane Morris, the chosen emerging growth companies will present to investors with the hopes of finding the perfect funding match. This year’s event is expected to be spirited and intense with the entrepreneurs only receiving three minutes to leave an impression.

FashInvest CEO Karen Griffith Gryga describes the event as, “A fun and effective way to introduce companies to potential funding sources. We save the entrepreneurs about six months of time. No where else can you find 25 sources of capital in one spot all interested in the targeted sectors.”

Prior to the speed-dating event, the day will begin with an intensive pitch workshop where the participants will receive coaching and feedback on their company pitches. An expert panel will provide necessary guidance in delivering an effective investor pitch in a matter of minutes.
