May 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Learn about Native American culture through the eyes of a child in the stirring new novel Billy and the Spirit Dancer.

When Billy, a Lakota boy, practices his Native American Hoop Dance, he is not alone. The spirit of a young boy who has been lost for 125 years trying to reconnect with his mother and younger brothers appears to Billy. The Lakota spirit boy takes Billy and his brother back through time to their earlier ancestors, who teach them their ways and help Billy become an expert hoop dancer.

In return for the journey that taught the boys many lessons about their culture, Billy and his brother try to help the spirit reach his family. Will they succeed? This “spirited” story shows the importance of family and it will appeal to all ages.
