Barcelona Architect Dr. Miquel Perez-Sanchez Rebuilds the Original Great Pyramid of Cheops

PRLog (Press Release) - May 24, 2012 - After ten years of research, the Doctor of Architecture Miquel Perez-Sanchez has achieved the virtual  rebuilding of the original shape of the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu).

From the analysis of the monument it is deduced that the civilization of Ancient Egypt had an advanced scientific understandings of math, geometry,  astronomy and geodesy,  among other disciplines.  Miquel Pérez-Sanchez will present the discoveries next Monday, May 21st, at 12:00 P.M. in the Ceremony Hall of the College of Architects of Catalunya (http://www.coac.net/), in Barcelona, Spain.

At the ceremony,  Miquel Pérez-Sanchez (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/miquel-p%C3%A9rez-s%C3%A1nche...) will be presented by Dr. Josep Muntanola Thornberg, architect and previous director of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) of the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), by Dr. Gabriel Ferrate Pascual, engineer and ex-president of the UPC, by Dr. Carlos Ferrater Lambarri, architect and department head of the UPC, and by Dr. Ferran Segarra Trias, architect and director of the ETSAB.

Also, within the framework of the Scientific Works of Architecture, Education, and Society that is being celebrated in Barcelona by the International Association of Architectural Research (IAAR) from the 23rd to the 25th of May, Dr. Perez-Sanchez will present his conclusions about the Great Pyramid of Cheops on Wednesday the 23rd.

A longer, more extensive explanation will take place in a series of four conferences at the Ceremony Hall  of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas in Catalunya (CSIC), under the title of “MATHEMATICS AND GEOMETRY, ASTRONOMY, AND GEODESY IN ANCIENT EGYPT: THE MONUMENTAL COLLECTION OF GIZA”, that will take place on the 22nd and 31st of May and the 6th and 14th of June at 18:00 (6:00 P.M.).

All of the conferences will be open to the public.
