Underground Printing set to open new Ann Arbor location this summer

PRLog (Press Release) - May 24, 2012 - The gradual disappearance of Blockbuster stores from Ann Arbor has provided one fast-growing local company with their newest location. Underground Printing, founded by two University of Michigan students in 2001, is set to open its newest location in the former Blockbuster space at 2248 South Main Street, in the shopping center anchored by Busch’s Fresh Food Market. Underground Printing provides custom screenprinted and embroidered apparel, as well as high-end and unique University of Michigan merchandise. The redevelopment of the former Blockbuster location will be their fifth location in Ann Arbor, seventh in the state of Michigan, and eighteenth location nationwide. Expanding their footprint in Ann Arbor is an element  that is vital to the company’s success.

   “We’re all in for U of M, Ann Arbor, and the future growth of this city.  As a local company we want to invest where we live.” noted co-founder Ryan Gregg. “Adding our fifth location in Ann Arbor  is a reflection of that belief and of our continued investment its success.” The company, which employs over 150 people, will be adding more part and full time jobs to staff the 6,000 square foot space at the corner S. Main St and Ann Arbor-Saline Rd.

The  new location will offer a full line of officially licensed University of Michigan merchandise with a mix of unique, fashionable, and hip products and designs, as well as some traditional game day gear. The location will also offer Underground Printing’s signature custom screenprinting and embroidery services, backed by their unmatched customer service and technology-driven approach to the custom printing experience.    The newest Underground Printing will be located at 2248 S. Main St. Other Underground Printing locations can be found in Ann Arbor at 1114 S. University, 329 S. Main St, 260 Metty Dr Suite G, and 711 N. University (Moe’s).
