Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co. Promotes Jeffrey Taraboulos to Managing Partner

May 24, 2012 - PRLog -- MIAMI – Accounting and advisory firm Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co. today announced the promotion of Jeffrey Taraboulos to managing partner. In this newly created role, Taraboulos will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s internal operations and expanding its footprint in the Southeast through planned acquisitions, new office openings and the hiring of additional staff.

Since 2004, Taraboulos has served as a partner with Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co. (previously De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co.), where he focuses his practice on tax and financial planning services as well as forensic accounting and litigation support.  Previously, he worked in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche’s Miami office.  Before this, he worked with Spear, Safer, Harmon & Co., where he provided mergers & acquisitions, forensic accounting and other advisory services on behalf of public and private companies.

Taraboulos is a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in Florida and Georgia and a recipient of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) 2011 “Outstanding Discussion Leader” award.  He is designated as Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), as well as a General Lines Property & Casualty Insurance agent and a Life, Health and Variable Annuity limited representative.  In addition, he holds Series 6, 7 and 66 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Taraboulos earned a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University in Miami.
