Make-A-Wish® Alabama Announces Rising Wishes Balloon Release

PRLog (Press Release) - May 24, 2012 - Who:  Make-A-Wish Alabama, the local chapter of Make-A-Wish America, will be hosting a “Rising Wishes” Balloon Release Fundraiser.

What: This Balloon Release Celebration will allow individuals to purchase “wish” balloons, in person or virtually, for $10 apiece, to assist the organization in reaching their goal of $15,000 to help grant the wishes of local children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.  

Where:  Balloons can be purchased online at http://www.shopbrookwoodvillage.com/events.php or in person at ‘Brookwood Live’ events on Thursdays at Colonial Brookwood Village, 780 Brookwood Village, Birmingham, AL 35209.

When:  The live balloon release will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Colonial Brookwood Village.   The event will run from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., with balloons being released at 7:30 p.m.  
Additional Information:  Macy’s Department Stores will be joining in this celebration by helping to grant the wish of Gabby, who will be participating in a photo shoot at Disney Land.  Gabby will be going on her Macy’s shopping spree from 2:00-5:00 p.m., leading directly into the Rising Wishes Balloon Release at Brookwood Live.
**Wish child, family and local staff will be available for photos and interviews from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.**
