Follow on Google News | Who is Dough the Freshkid and why the title "No More Dreams" for his mixtape?Things that people should now about up and coming hip hop sensation Dough the Freshkid.
By: EPC Music Group According to management, DTFK (Dough the Freshkid) is 26 years old and originally born in Gary, Indiana. Moved to Los Angeles when he was much younger after his parents divorced which was a difficult transition for him. He was reared by his mother from there out and supported by siblings and other family members. Growing up in South Central California wasn't a easy task for any kid growing up during those periods. However, DTFK was able to use sports and music as his escape from the harsh reality he was faced with everyday. Without going so deep into the Bio, DTFK is actually a college graduated from California State University Of Los Angeles (CSULA) class of 2009. Immediately after, he decided to pursue his music career so he started his own label EPC Music Group. With no support from a major nor investors, he manages to promote, market, record and all the other things labels do by himself. According to DTFK, he doesn't want a regular artist recording deal, he wants something more advance like partnership or something he couldn't resist. So until that day, DTFK continues to travel accross the world to meet and greet new supporter/fans and to build his audience. He also continues to put out independent projects like his series of mixtapes, "Million Dollar Dreams" and the latest "No More Dreams." Which brings us to our question, why name your mixtape NMD. "I've dreamed enough, so it's time for me to live my dreams out" according to DTFK. Well now I feel like I know this soon to be mega hip hop star. So for you out there, go show some support to a kid who struggled some but lived up to America's values, "Work hard and it'll pay off." His latest project No More Dreams "Tuxedos & Champagne" mixtape has been getting great reviews and thousands of downloads for free. Check out what Hip Hop lead had to say about the mixtape. "You have to admire the intensity and confidence from DTFK. The title track, “No More Dreams”, finds DTFK rhyming over a production layer that could have been a selection for the Life After Death album. This particular record is in tune with The late great BIG’s “Your Nobody Till Somebody Kills You”, but is conceptually a more arrogant outlook on the road to success.
