ORLANDO, FLA – May 23, 2012− Rocky’s Retreat®, the nation’s most comprehensive canine health and fitness center, has announced its landmark study to improve the health and fitness of dogs. Based on Rocky’s Retreat’s expertise and ability to transform the health and fitness of its clients, they have been commissioned by an international consulting firm to conduct a study into the current obesity and health crisis occuring in our nation’s dogs.
The Living Better Strong Longer™ Canine Obesity and Fitness Study consists of two parts – an online survey and a 12 week on-site program specifically designed to show that a structured weight loss and fitness program can help a dog lose weight and improve overall health and fitness. The purpose of the survey is to understand the current fitness level of America’s dogs. The study is also aimed a validating the efficacy of the most recent techniques in canine health and fitness. On-site program activities consist of swimming in an ozone-sanitized indoor warm water pool, exercising on a treadmill, and strength, balance and flexibility training using FitPAWS® Canine Conditioning Equipment.
Sherri Cappabianca and Toby Gass, founders of Rocky’s Retreat and experts in the field of canine health and wellness are looking for 100 out-of-shape, older dogs in the Central Florida area to participate in this 12 week study.
