Orthodontic Care of Georgia Orthodontics Announces College Scholarship Program

PRLog (Press Release) - May 23, 2012 - Atlanta, GA – With the rising cost of college textbooks and supplies, Dr. Hector Bush of Orthodontic Care of Georgia saw a need in the community to start the “Smiling Senior” $1,000 textbook scholarship open to all graduating high school seniors affiliated with the Andrew & Walter Young Family chapter of the Atlanta YMCA.

The scholarship is intended to reward five deserving seniors from the Atlanta area by relieving them from some of the financial burdens college brings on. This is the inaugural year for Orthodontic Care of Georgia’s scholarship program, and Dr. Bush looks forward to implementing the program on an annual basis.

“Higher education is so important, but it can get expensive. I hope to make it financially easier for students to attend college through this scholarship,” said Dr. Bush. “I am committed to helping out my community in any way I can.” Dr. Bush is an active member of the Atlanta community and was recognized as a YMCA “Volunteer of the Year” in 2010.

The scholarship recipients will be announced and rewarded at an upcoming event celebrating the birthday of Dr. Walter Young.
