Award-winning Author, Liza Manzione, to Sign Copies of her Series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry

May 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Manalapan, Fla. – On Saturday, May 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Plaza del Mar shopping center in Manalapan hosts its First Annual Paws to Read on the Avenue. The Plaza Theatre, Milton’s Grooming Parlor and the Plaza del Mar are teaming up with award-winning author, Lisa Manzione, for a book reading and signing of her educational children’s book series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, followed by the world premiere of the musical performance, Bella and Harry: Let’s Visit London!

This open to the public event for families, children and dog lovers alike, will include a Four Paws Pageant with multiple categories, book signing and reading with Lisa Manzione, photos with Bella and Harry, demonstrations featuring therapy dogs trained to help kids learn to read from the Share-A-Pet “Pawsitive” Reading Program and beginning at 11 a.m. the first ever live performance of Bella and Harry: Let’s Visit London! at the Plaza Theatre.  

The Adventures of Bella and Harry book series, which debuted in fall 2011, chronicles the humorous tales of a young and spunky Chihuahua, Bella, and her little brother, Harry, as they travel with their human owners to exotic locales around the world.  By introducing children to foreign customs, history, landmarks, and languages at an early age, the series stimulates children's imaginations and fosters a thirst for understanding the world in which they live.

Tickets for the performance are available for $12.50 each at ThePlazaTheatre.net or by calling the box office at (561)588-1820. The book series will be available for purchase, enabling children to bring the magic home with them for $16.95 per book. Five percent of book proceeds benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.
