Southwest Kia & Lone Star - A North Texas Businesses Partnership for the Community

May 23, 2012 - PRLog -- In this day and age, helping out on the community is a must. That is why Southwest Kia and Lone Star Marketing, both North Texas based businesses, are excited about the recent promotional partnership that will help to bring more family friendly and community minded activities to North Texas. Lone Star Marketing, the local-guru of over 30 family friendly events all over the region every year first began working with Southwest Kia when they partnered at the Fox 4 Toys for Tots event last December.  The annual toy drive takes place at The Harbor Rockwall and the goal was to "fill the Soul", Kia's renowned sporty & fun car, with toys for needy children. The partnership has been in the works ever since.

Erin Kincaid, owner and founder of Lone Star Marketing says that "this is exactly the kind of spirit that our advertising and event firm was built on. It is about what can we do to give back and bring joy to people's lives through our local entertainment locations and event centers." Lone Star, who is known for handling such clients such as The Harbor Rockwall, Hilton and The Mesquite Rodeo have been bringing events and trade shows to North Texas for over five years. This fall they launch the all new Bass Pro Road Kill Cook-Off complete with vintage car show, vendors and of course its name sake- road kill! Southwest Kia will be there every step of the way! When asked 'why this partnership was key?', Southwest Kia Marketing Director Erica Sutherland said "People are falling in love with Kia all over again. It makes perfect sense to be out in the community where our drivers are. Whether it is gathering toys for children, feeding the hungry or raising funds to help fight domestic violence at the Hotties on the Harbor Fishing Tournament next month, then Southwest Kia will be there! We want our community to know that it’s about more than just cars for us. It's about a way of life and we want to set the example by being out there and giving back."

Southwest Kia is kicking off the partnership by hosting the annual FreedomFest & Firework Show at The Harbor on July 1st and they have a great evening of activities planned for the whole family! From face-painting and balloon artists to the Uncle Sam Stilts-Walker there is fun for all. Southwest Kia and The Harbor Rockwall have brought in Southbound Train for the Band entertainment and a special Dove Award Winner guest for the Firework Show Music!
