Pleasanton Harvest Festival® Features Show-Stopping Entertainment Acts

Indoor Arts and Crafts Show on the West Coast Showcases Live Music, Comedians and Kids Entertainers

May 22, 2012 - PRLog -- The Pleasanton Harvest Festival® will return to the Alameda County Fairgrounds on September 14-16 to celebrate 40 spectacular years as the Bay Area’s premier shopping destination.

The Pleasanton Harvest Festival® offers three fun-filled days of family entertainment in a fun shopping atmosphere. Attendees can buy one-of-a-kind handmade products directly from top artisans, watch live artist demonstrations, experience great live music and performances, and spoil their taste buds with delicious festival food.

Cash Tribute Band featuring James Garner will headline this year’s outdoor stage with musical hits of the legendary 'Man in Black'—Johnny Cash. With strong conviction and stunning accuracy, the band will perform Cash's songs, combining their sets with historical accounts and personal anecdotes. Attendees will toe-tap their way down memory lane to the signature sound of Cash Tribute.

Also appearing at the main stage is comedian and entertainer John Park. Watch his comedy waiter act with a spectacular plate spinning finish at “The Funny Waiter Show”. Using original and unique comedy routines involving food, drink, music, and more, Park will be sure to bring the crowd to laughter and, quite possibly, tears. Be sure to ask about his “hoax waiter option” where he will display a sweet surprise for audience members.

The Pleasanton Harvest Festival® also boasts strolling entertainers who parade the festival grounds with special performances for attendees. Fill your empty arms with furry group hugs by ambassadors of fun, BC Characters. Observe WC Willy as he juggles seemingly “impossible” objects and towers high above the crowd on stilts. Plus, keep an eye out for other strolling performers including Big Mama Sue and Big Bad Bill who roam the aisles giving impromptu serenades.

Once again, the Alameda County Community Food Bank will return to provide a $2 off admission discount to anyone who brings monetary or non-perishable food donations to the event.

The Harvest Festivals feature hundreds of artisans exhibiting 24,000 American handmade arts and crafts including jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, photography, original art, hand-turned wood, toys, ceramics and much more.
