House of Heroes Holds Ceremony & Pep Rally Before Three Veteran Home Repair Projects in CT

Memorial Day weekend, local politicians, volunteers, friends & donors will join House of Heroes on Saturday, May 26th at 7:00 AM as they rally to honor our vets before providing free home repairs to military veterans in Hamden, Stratford, and Meriden
 
May 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Before their skilled labor/volunteers depart to begin the home construction/repairs for at-need veterans in Hamden, Stratford and Meriden, the Connecticut Chapter of House of Heroes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free home repairs to military and public service veterans who cannot afford the repairs and/or are not physically capable of undertaking the repair work, will hold a Veterans Ceremony and Volunteer Pep Rally on Saturday, May 26th at 7:00 AM in Hamden Plaza.  

The first House of Heroes construction projects for three separate veterans and their families have been identified, which will be started by volunteers immediately after the Pep Rally during  Memorial Day weekend; these veterans reside in Hamden, Stratford and Meriden.  

Many veterans today find themselves on a difficult journey, and House of Heroes is here for them in their time of need.  House of Heroes provides essential home repair services which benefit the each individual veteran based on their situation. All of the work is accomplished through community volunteerism and all funding is provided through private and corporate donations.

With the assistance from our financial supporters and many volunteers, House of Heroes will be able to honor many of the veterans who have fallen on difficult times by ensuring that they have a safe place to call home,” states Bill May, Chairman, House of Heroes, Connecticut. “All contributions bring us one step closer to achieve our goal of improving the lives of these heroes.”

To meet the costs associated with these projects, House of Heroes will hold a fundraising event on Friday, May 25th at 7:00 pm., featuring award-winning Nashville country singer, Nashville Singer & Songwriter Tim Maggart at Signature Brand Factory 409 Canal Street, Milldale (Southington).
