City Model and Talent and the LLS Presents their 4th Annual Fighting Leukemia

May 22, 2012 - PRLog -- New York, New York  – City Model and Talent (http://www.citymodelandtalent.com), announced today that June 12th is the date for their much anticipated 4th annual “Fighting Leukemia with Fashion” event to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and to add potential donors to the bone marrow registry. The event will take place on the evening of June 12th at The Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel 40 West 40th Street NY, NY 10018.  Doors will open for the evening at 7:00PM, with the main fashion event beginning promptly at 9:00PM.  The event also provides an opportunity for guests to participate in the bone marrow drive.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit LLS, the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to increasing funds for lifesaving blood cancer research and providing free information and support services to those touched by cancer.  Funds from “Fighting Leukemia with Fashion” will help advance LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Designers being featured at this year’s exclusive event include April Marin (www.aprilmarin.com) and Peter Curti (www.unityvintage.com).   Sponsors have also been formally announced as southern spirits and wine, Jet Set Events, Cellar Bar and DKMS.  DKMS is an organization that is dedicating to saving lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients.  DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world, and has worked with “Fighting Leukemia with Fashion” in the past and has had much success in finding bone marrow donors through the popular event.
