Washington, DC – May 22, 2012. The Beauty Company, a Washington, DC based beauty strategy and consulting firm, is welcoming spring with the announcement of new clients and key agency initiatives. “It’s been a really exciting year for TBC,” said Alisa Beyer, Founding Partner and CEO, “Not only did we turn 5 years old, this year we are getting the opportunity to partner with several of the beauty industries key thought leaders: WWD, HBA and ICMAD for some incredibly exciting opportunities. TBC couldn’t be more proud of our company or excited for our clients.”

Joining TBC as clients are:
• JeNu Biosciences
• Universal Physicians (Hydraplasty™)
• LACARA de Argentina
• Wet ‘n Wild
• Dow Personal Care

In February 2012, TBC sponsored the ICMAD reception at Cosmoprof Bologna. The reception brought thought leaders and business executives together to network, exchange ideas and share feedback in an informal setting, and was a resounding success. As part of this collaboration, Beyer will serve as a judge for ICMAD’s 2012 Cosmetic Innovator of the Year (CITY) Awards, a prestigious industry award honoring product, design and marketing innovation and awarded yearly in June, and TBC will sponsor ICMAD’s reception at Cosmoprof Las Vegas in July 2012.

Then in May 2012, TBC was a sponsor of the WWD Beauty CEO Summit 2012 in Palm Beach, FL May 14th – 16th. A prestigious gathering of the top CEO’s in the beauty industry today, this year’s Summit marked a first for TBC.  “I am personally so excited to have been involved with WWD’s phenomenal Beauty CEO Summit.  Being able to connect and discuss the issues and opportunities affecting our industry with the visionaries who are guiding the future of beauty was incredibly compelling and TBC couldn’t be prouder to have played a part in this Summit,” remarked Beyer from her office in DC.

In June, TBC will collaborate with HBA Global for their “Beauty Is Not for Sissies: How to be a Genius and not a Disaster” workshop, a daylong workshop held at the HBA Global Expo for emerging beauty entrepreneurs that focuses on the key steps necessary for launching a highly desirable, consumer-validated, must-have new beauty brand in today’s competitive marketplace. Broken up into five modules: Beauty by the Numbers: the facts and figures driving our multi-billion dollar industry; The Beauty Product Development Life Cycle™: the ultimate guide to building a genius beauty brand; Point of Entry: what it takes to sell in and sell through; Create a Brand Identity that Sings: the vital elements needed for a successful brand; and Money Matters: the down and dirty answers on money, distribution and how to put it all together from industry insiders, the workshop will also feature guest speakers Jani Friedman and Nada Lantz, and is designed for beauty executives, entrepreneurs, managers, formulators, venture capitalists, celebrities, doctors or anyone interested in launching a new beauty brand the right way.
