PCTI, the provider of Docman is pleased to announce the launch of a revolutionary software collaboration platform designed specifically for healthcare organisations.
The solution, Docman Collaborator offers a fully audited discussion platform, enabling health professionals to manage, share and discuss a whole range of matters anytime, anyplace. The solution reduces the need for physical meetings, conference calls, faxes, letters and the myriad of disconnected email trails that can engulf a discussion topic. The platform resides on the NHS N3 network providing a secure easy-to-use and familiar interface, using role based access to satisfy information governance requirements.
The solution is being piloted by GP practices, CCG’s and NHS provider organisations and was showcased to 350 delegates at the National Docman Conference on Wednesday, 16th May at the Institute of Directors in London.
Increasing numbers of organisations are seeking to remove the complexity of managing information, projects, meetings, emails and paper by using the tools to work seamlessly with colleagues electronically, without the administrative headaches. There are many generic electronic collaboration tools designed with high levels of configurability aimed at fitting any situation. The number one key difference with Docman Collaborator is that it has been designed by healthcare professionals from the bottom up specifically for use across a healthcare setting. There is minimal initial setup or maintenance required to get the most out of the system.
Ric Thompson, Managing Director, PCTI, “With the ever increasing workload placed on healthcare professionals coupled with the need to reduces costs, we recognised the communication challenges that we will all face within the new NHS landscape. There is a real demand for a solution to help healthcare professionals collaborate across traditional boundaries in new more efficient and effective ways”.
