Living “Above It All” When Life Tries to Drag You Down

Above It All means Living Free. Free from what? The day-to-day disasters, temptations, frustrations, annoyances, and hurts. We all experience them. How do we rise above it all when life is really working hard to drag us down?

PRLog - May 21, 2012 - SPRING VALLEY, Calif. -- Day-to-day, life can be a relentless quagmire.  There are endless things to do, places to be, things happening all around us.  It feels like slowing down for even a moment will drown us in an avalanche of way-too-much.  Just keeping up is enough of a challenge!  How in the world can we rise Above It All?

Enter Scot Conway, Ph.D. with a powerful, simple way to launch to exhilarating heights!

It is an actual technique: a systematic, simple, direct approach that lets you take the relentless events of the day and actually launch upward out of it.  Where most teachers just teach a perspective, Conway actually teaches a process!

The “perspective” technique we most often hear is commonly a version of “just ignore it.”  Those can be helpful at times, but if things are going wrong, just ignoring them is a recipe for long-term disaster.  Problems need to be solved!

Conway teaches us a three step system: Embrace, Elevate, Expand.

He walks us through each level and explains how it works.  We take life as it is.  We elevate it up to a higher level of thinking by “climbing the ladder.”  “Climb the ladder” is a step-by-step technique.  Two of the steps show us how to elevate an emotion to a thought, and a thought to a choice.

He explains Treasure Hunting and how we can actually do it.  Sometimes people go too far with this technique.  Finding treasure never means “nothing bad is happening.” It can mean “I’m so glad that I’m smart enough, strong enough, and know enough to get SOME good out of this!”

Conway’s simple tool of “positive counterpart” saves us from the very common mistake of assuming the opposite of a bad thing must be a good thing.  It is often another bad thing!  It isn’t even that the answer is “somewhere in the middle” because it might have nothing to do with either opposite!  In fact, many of our problems might have been caused by that sort of “either/or” thinking.  Maybe the answer is “yes/and” or perhaps something completely different.

Conway understands that we need options.  Some ways of handling something will be easier for someone of than others.  To help us all, he gives us a huge toolbox of techniques.  We pick the one that is easiest for us so we have something to use right away.  With ten techniques, something will be easy for us!  He even shows us an eleventh system to build our own technique!

Above It All really is A Must-Have, Powerfully Simple Way to Launch to Exhilarating Heights from the Quagmire Below Commonly Known as “Life.”  Using any of the simple techniques breaks us out of the relentlessness of day to day life and really does let us soar above it all!

Once we have these secrets, exhilarating heights await!
