Go Dance Crowned as Top Large Studio at Crown Jewel of DanceSport Competition

PRLog (Press Release) - May 22, 2012 - KNOXVILLE, TN – May 22, 2012 – Go Dance, Knoxville’s premier ballroom dance studio, today announced that the Studio was awarded “Top Large Studio” for its presence at the Crown Jewel of DanceSport (Crown Jewel) ballroom dance competition. Students of Go Dance were decorated with twenty-one total awards, twelve first-place trophies and brought home $2,050 in scholarships. Sam Gordon and Jeffery Bryant of Go Dance were honored with Top Teacher awards, placing within the top ten of all dance instructors attending the competition.

“We are extremely proud of our students,” said Sam Gordon, owner of Go Dance.  “Each and every one of them performed beautifully under extreme pressure and fierce competition.”

The Crown Jewel is a three-day, National Dance Competition Association (NDCA) sanctioned ballroom dance competition held annually in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Go Dance students’ competed with their ballroom specialists in professional–amateur (pro-am) events across four styles of ballroom dance: American Smooth, International Standard, American Rhythm and International Latin. The Crown Jewel is the third leg in a four-part competition series for the Triple Crown DanceSport Championships series.
