AS-9100 C Certification Official for Transline Technology

May 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Last week Transline Technology, a veteran printed circuit board manufacturer based in Anaheim, CA, received the welcome news that they had become "officially" AS-9100 C certified by NSF. AS-9100 Revision C certification qualifies Transline to now manufacture PCBs for the large Aerospace and Defense segment who require this designation for their suppliers.
Revision C of AS-9100 added new rigorous requirements for manufacturers because it also allows a fabricator to meet requirements imposed by the Space Industry. According to NSF auditors, many companies struggle to achieve certification due to its stringent nature. In fact, reports NSF, many struggle to go from revision B to revision C of this certification due to the new requirements.
Due to Transline's extremely strong commitment to ISO-9001 compliance and their strong relationship with R & D divisions of Lockheed Martin, the challenge of certification was made a bit easier. Lockheed does not require AS-9100 certification for R & D work, but does require them to be AS-9100 "compliant."
