Known for her distinctive bold, sharp and high-pitched voice, Washington was praised for her clear articulation and shortened, bluesy phrasing. Her 20-year singing career is filled with blues, standards, novelties and pop covers like her first hit “Evil Gal Blues” in the early 1950s and her break into mainstream popular music with “What a Diff’rence Makes” in 1953. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
Be there when the music starts and the spirit of Washington comes alive at 8:00PM as Michelle Willson takes the stage and performs a tribute to one of her idols. The night’s music will be complemented by the culinary contributions of Executive Chef Rebecca Newell from 5:00PM-2:00PM. Whether it is with a full dinner or just a cocktail and appetizers, don’t miss this opportunity to experience the ballads of one of the most popular artists of our time!
