By: Colliers International San Jose This year’s winning team members included Don Shaver of LBA Realty, Chris Peatross of Swift Realty, Duffy D’Angelo of Colliers International and Joe Elliott of Colliers International. Shaver commented, “The Colliers Bocce Tournament embodies a commercial real estate industry that thrives on teamwork, precision, creativity and relationships. Thanks for keeping this tradition alive.” “As always, the Bocce event is a great chance to connect with everyone outside of our normal work day,” said Peatross. “I'll take Bocce over golf every day.” The first of two $500 donations was made in the name of the winning team to F.A.C.E.S., a family services nonprofit agency dedicated to families in crisis from separation and divorce and whose mission is to prevent family violence. The second $500 was presented to Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco, whose mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The runner-up team members included Dominic Giacalone of Stegner Development, Murphy Sabatino of M&M Properties, Lindsey Lantis of Colliers International and Mark Giovanzana of Colliers International. Giacalone remarked, “I look forward to the Colliers Bocce Tournament every year. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with the brokers and local developers and the Colliers group always makes it a lot of fun.” Sabatino added, "Thank you Colliers for another great event. The Bocce Tournament is always fun and a good opportunity to connect with developers and the many talented brokers that work at Colliers." A $500 runner-up donation was made to the Sacred Heart Nativity Schools. The schools’ mission is to provide a Catholic education for students of low-income families, with priority given to families of the Sacred Heart community. “This event is one of the high points of our year,” said Jeff Fredericks, Managing Partner of Colliers’ Silicon Valley office. “Our annual Bocce Tournament is a big hit with our clients and brokers. We get consistent feedback that the atmosphere develops new business and makes for a great afternoon with a bunch of great people. The event is made even more special with its focus on helping Bay Area kids from donations raised for our Links for Life Foundation.” About Colliers International: Note to Editors: Photos of the winners and runners-up are available by contacting Chris Droitcour at Colliers International at 408-282-3899 or chris.droitcour@ End
