Kick Back Tomorrow Launches Online Campaign To Fund Debut EP

PRLog (Press Release) - May 18, 2012 - May 18, 2012 – Philadelphia, PA – After 6 months of work, Philadelphia alternative rock band Kick Back Tomorrow has launched an online campaign to fund the last step of their debut EP. With the help of the IndieGoGo.com community, the world’s largest self-serve open-funding platform, Kick Back Tomorrow is utilizing this crowd-funding platform to raise money.

At the beginning of the year, Kick Back Tomorrow entered the studio to record demos and track drums and instruments, with engineer Joe Lally, for their debut EP which is set to release on July 24, 2012. The process of recording is almost over, but Kick Back Tomorrow needs a little help from the music community. The band plans to track vocals with GRAMMY award winning producer, Jim Cravero of East Coast Recoding Company, have the album mixed by Jack McCarthy and mastered by Azimuth Mastering. After all songs are completed, the band will press and distribute the EP themselves. The album will be available at local shows, in their online store and on sites like iTunes and AmazonMP3.

The EP which is titled “Selfish Dreamers,” will feature 6 original songs: What Goes Down Must Come Up; Tragedy In Their Blood; The City Grim and Gray; You Keep Your Death Wish, I'll Keep My Mind; Chapter 9: The Part Where He Kills You; LSP. The first single, Chapter 9: The Part Where He Kills You will be released in June.

A release show is scheduled for July 28, 2012 at The Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia.

The online funding campaign, which can be found at: http://www.indiegogo.com/selfishdreamers?a=623742 has a funding goal of $750 and ends on June 17. Fans can contribute to the project and claim rewards ranging from the first single to private shows. If the campaign reaches its goal the final stages of the album will be completed. If the band fails to meet their goal in time, the money is refunded back to the contributors and the plans to continue are put on hold.
