Two Rhode Island rally cars prepare for fourth round of Rally America National Series

PRLog (Press Release) - May 17, 2012 - Providence, RI, May 18th, 2012:  After the 3,000 mile trek to the beautiful Dalles area of Oregon for the third round of the national series, the Rhode Island based team had a short lived run after going off on stage 5, ending the rally for the team. Said Gardiner, "Presenting a rally team is a huge undertaking on many levels for all competitors.  Traveling from the opposite side of the country for the event, hours of car prep and then to be out that early in the event was heart wrenching for me as the team owner.  But after a late dinner my fantastic crew loaded the car in the trailer and headed back to the east coast to get ready for Pennsylvania,… that's rally."  

“Our sights are now set on competing at STPR® which regularly draws the top rally teams from the United States and Canada” said Gardiner, adding “it will be great to spend some time again with the Summit Rally Team from Australia fielding their two 400bhp turbocharged, rear wheel drive Nissan's, all of us are here to put our skills to the extreme test of performance rally.”  Performance Rally is the world's most popular form of motor sport and competitors are widely considered the most skillful drivers of all racers.

STPR will also be the inaugural event for the Open Lite Academy, a new series for cars competing in the Open Light class. It is the only Rally America event so far in the series, crossing sanctioning organizations to include all teams competing in this class and the first event of the year where an interesting Mother/Son rivalry will play out as both Tracey and Rory battle in the same class.
