The Help Group's Summer Camps For Kids with Special Needs, Los Angeles

May 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The Help Group has four specialized day camp programs, which service kids ages 3- 21 with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs.  Our unique programs assist with social development in a structured, creative and exciting way.  The camp programs aim to prevent regression during the summer months when away from the school environment as well as to offer the camper the opportunity to acquiring new skills.  Each camp is specifically designed within a safe and nurturing environment so the camper can build confidence, self-esteem and independence.

Village Glen Day Camp serves children ages 3-13 with Asperger’s Disorder, high-functioning autism and related social challenges.  A well-rounded schedule includes music, arts and crafts, water play, trips and special events.

Camp Sunshine is designed for 3-21 year olds with moderate to severe autism and other developmental delays.  The camp’s program facilitates physical and emotional growth through a wide range of summer fun activities.

Camp Discover celebrates the great outdoors for children 4-13 with mild to moderate special needs. Located in beautiful Sunset Meadows in Pacific Palisades, the enriching and developmental camp includes science, drama, crafts, contests, and games in a lovely outdoor setting.

Teens on the Go! Is a unique weekly social skills camp for teems ages 13-18 with Asperger’s Disorder, high functioning autism, and related social challenges.  The camp emphasizes fun and friendship building. A Travel Camp offers teens the opportunity for adventure on over night trips facilitated professional Help Group staff.
