Items include gift certificates from Little Green Spa, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, Lisa Maile modeling, The Flour Shop, chiropractor Dr Andrew Hull, the Spice and Tea Shop, Smokey Bones, and Earth Inspired Living. Winter Park’s Breakthrough Theater has provided theater tickets.
Paws Calls in-home veterinary services, Dog Day Afternoon pet sitting, Hip Dog Hydrotherapy, Rick’s Dog Deli, Park Your Bark pet grooming, and the Sit ‘n Stay Café have contributed to the raffle. The Spice and Tea Shop has created a gift basket filled with spice and oils for making healthy dog treats.
Merchants from Winter Park’s famed Park Avenue shopping district — including Timothy’s Gallery, Lilly Pulitzer, the Doggie Door, Maureen Hall Stationery, and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art — have also contributed items for the raffle. Renowned pet portrait artist Edie Fagan has donated fine prints. Pet caricaturist Maria Bolton has contributed a certificate for an original caricature of your pet.
“One of the most unique raffle items is from the Winter Park Police Department which is offering a ‘ride along’ experience with a police officer,” said event coordinator Judy Charuhas. “Everyone who registers to walk will receive a free raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the event.”
The first annual Winter Park DogWalk is presented Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida and will be held May 19, 2012, at the Cady Way Trail, Phase 1, in Winter Park. The public is encouraged register online at WPdogwalk.com or in person during the event. The $20 registration fee benefits The Lost Pets Foundation and includes a t-shirt for the dog walker, a free microchip ID for their pet, and a doggie goodie bag filled with items.
