Team at Brandywine Senior Living at Middlebrook Pioneer Training for Working with Memory Impaired

May 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The Reflections Certification Program (RCP) was developed and launched in February 2012 as part of Brandywine's continuing efforts to provide an enhanced dementia training program and give all team members the practical tools necessary to further support our memory care residents.  The program includes a comprehensive overview and interactive sessions on dementia care and spans such areas as sensitivity, brain deterioration review, behavior symptom management, communication techniques, social engagement, and caregiver stress. A team of esteemed dementia care professionals at Brandywine Senior Living developed the curriculum to further enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members caring for our residents. The program was designed based on professional experience, input from front line caregivers and updated information from leading dementia care providers and National organizations. The Reflections Certification Program (RCP) is two levels of learning (Level One and Level Two) and is specifically geared to our care management teams and also provided for all disciplines. After successful completion of both Level One and Level Two, care managers and other selected team members who successfully complete the course receive the recognition as a Brandywine Memory Care Specialist (MCS). Reflections is the brand name of Brandywine's signature memory care program.
