Make-A-Wish® Partners with Great Escape Theaters to Make Wishes Come True

PRLog (Press Release) - May 17, 2012 - Atlanta, GA - Great Escape Theaters will partner with Make-A-Wish® Georgia and Alabama during the month of May in an effort to raise $40,000 to help make the wishes of local children come true. In order to reach this goal, movie goers can make a $1.00 donation at the box-office when purchasing tickets to their favorite movies.

Since its beginning in 1980, Make-A-Wish® has been enriching the lives of thousands of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.  As the largest wish-granting organization in the world, Make-A-Wish® grants a wish every 38 minutes.

According to a 2010 study of wish impact, 89% of professionals surveyed say a wish come true can affect a child’s health outcomes. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences strengthen the entire family.  “We at Great Escape Theatres /Aliance Entertainment and our customers are proud to try and help the families and children of our local communities.  Teaming up with Make-A-Wish is an outstanding way to help these children and sponsor a great charity doing wonderful things for children,” says Brook Hollis of Great Escape Theatres.
