The return of the Langport Market

PRLog (Press Release) - May 18, 2012 - Once again the onus is on the wonderful local producers and craftspeople that Somerset has to offer.  The stall holders are all independent craftspeople, traders and include artisan producers such as Somerset Biltong, Wraxall Vineyard, Merricks Organic Farm, Feast Catering, Evans Butchers and many more.  Several of the stall holders are award winners in their field and there will be samples and tasters available on the day.

A raffle of gifts, very kindly donated by the stall holders, will take place.  The raffle proceeds are donated to a local charity.  The happy recipients of the last raffle donation were the Langport & Huish Episcopi Youth Club who has put the money towards their camping trip.  

Feedback from the last event was extremely positive with customers delighted to meet the producers.  The March market exceeded all expectations on the day. The organisers are hoping for another glorious sunny morning and that, as before, the market will be supported by local residents and visitors alike.   It is very much hoped that a market, on Langport’s main square, will become a regular sight and plans are in place for regular markets in the future.
