The Gossiping Heifers Talk Show with Special Guest, Janks Morton

JANKS MORTON has been in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years and is a much sought-after teacher, lecturer, commentator and motivational speaker. He has convened workshops, seminars and served as panelist and keynote speaker at colleges, universities, prisons, conferences, churches and community centers around the world.

The Documentary Channel will tackle myths, stereotypes and misrepresentations of African American men in a documentary titled What Black Men Think, which features interviews with key black leaders, media personalities, activists and educators like Dr. Steve Perry, Joseph C. Phillips, Michael Steele, and several others.
Directed by Janks Morton’s, the award-winning film will air on Tuesday, May 29 (8p ET/PT), as part of Black Documentary Cinema. It will also be made simultaneously available for online streaming at documentarychannel.com.

A searing examination of the role that myths, stereotypes and misrepresentations have played in the lives of modern black men, “What Black Men Think” is an eye-opening look at the race issues that are still very prevalent in the United States today. “What Black Men Think” explores how negative imagery in the media, the failed policy of the Great Society, and a modern black leadership that has abandoned many of its historically unifying tenets have all led to a new form of mental slavery in the black community.

Documentary Channel is primarily available through satellite television services DISH Network (Channel 197) and DIRECTV (Channel 267).
