As part of this year’s anniversary festivities, Capitol City Brewing Company will host a total of six tapping parties in June, July and August. The downtown DC location will kick off the celebratory tapping party on Tuesday, June 5 and the Shirlington location on Wednesday, June 6 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. unveiling June’s exclusive beer of the month, the Oak Aged Fuel. The special 20th anniversary beers include: • June – Oak Aged Fuel The Oak Aged Fuel (9.5% ABV) is Capitol City’s signature Imperial Coffee Stout that has been aged in Jack Daniel’s barrels. Served in a 10 oz. goblet, the Oak Aged Fuel is full bodied with big dark malt flavors and a pleasant coffee aroma that is complimented by the oak and vanilla flavors from the barrel. In the tradition of Bock style beers, the alcohol is high but remains a lager with a smooth finish.
