Capitol City Brewing Company Kicks Off 20th Anniversary Festivities with Rollout of Special Beers

May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Washington, DC – Party with Capitol City Brewing Company this summer as they celebrate 20 years of brewing many of the Mid-Atlantic region’s best tasting ales and lagers. The local brewpub is kicking off anniversary celebrations with the introduction of three different unique handcrafted beers with one special release presented each month this summer.
       As part of this year’s anniversary festivities, Capitol City Brewing Company will host a total of six tapping parties in June, July and August. The downtown DC location will kick off the celebratory tapping party on Tuesday, June 5 and the Shirlington location on Wednesday, June 6 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. unveiling June’s exclusive beer of the month, the Oak Aged Fuel.
       The special 20th anniversary beers include:

•   June – Oak Aged Fuel
The Oak Aged Fuel (9.5% ABV) is Capitol City’s signature Imperial Coffee Stout that has been aged in Jack Daniel’s barrels. Served in a 10 oz. goblet, the Oak Aged Fuel is full bodied with big dark malt flavors and a pleasant coffee aroma that is complimented by the oak and vanilla flavors from the barrel.

•   July – Rye IPA
Medium to full bodied, the Rye IPA (6.5% ABV) is an American style IPA made with the addition of Rye malt that lends spiciness to the flavor profile.  

•   August – Summer Bock
The Summer Bock (7.5% ABV) is a German style lager with a deep golden color that is lightly hopped.  In the tradition of Bock style beers, the alcohol is high but remains a lager with a smooth finish.
