By: The Anti-Surrender Committee The organization is NOT a 501c, nor do they consider themselves a business. "We are simply two women who, out of the love we have for animals, are dedicated to helping those less fortunate keep their pets with them." says co-founder Andy Van Scovoc. The Anti-Surrender Committee receives no form of government, local or state assistance and 100% of items they offer to those in need, have either been purchased out of pocket or donated by those who wish to help. Assistance Offered For Cats and Dogs: Pet Food Coupons Pet Toys Pet Beds Scratch Posts Leashes/Harnesses Pet Food & Water Bowls Help with Spay/Neuter Costs in the Form of Vouchers What is Needed: Pet food coupons (any brand, dry or wet) Pet health coupons (such as flea and tick sprays, treatments, etc as are sometimes in the Sunday coupon section) Donations of unused items in CLEAN condition please!!! We don't mind washing, but items heavily soiled or ruined simply can't be used What the Anti-Surrender Committee Does Not Do: Hand out money. "We will do what we can to help, but we do not give out money, nor do we accept monetary donations." says Ms. Van Scoyoc. She also emphasizes the organization is not a shelter, "Our mission is to help pets avoid shelters."
