May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- As momentum builds and a positive shift starts to take place in homebuilding markets across the country, the industry’s leading sales coach, Jeff Shore, is experiencing a dramatic spike in the number of builders seeking to retain his services. To answer the demand, Shore has developed a new video-based platform and hired industry veteran Amy O’Connor to direct it. Under Amy’s leadership, the new platform will expand Shore Consulting’s available dates and allow more people to receive Jeff Shore’s proven training content at a lower cost.

“Amy has the experience, knowledge and passion that it will take to widen our reach while maintaining the same quality message that homebuilding companies have come to expect of Shore Consulting,” said Shore. “I have closely observed her career path over the last decade with some of the biggest builders in the country and been impressed with her exceptional gift for presenting information in a way that inspires her trainees to achieve outstanding results. I’m honored to have her represent and grow the Shore Consulting brand.”

In her new role, O’Connor will meet in person with clients nationwide, share the video featuring Shore, and then lead the discussion and exercises with the sales team based on what she has just shown. It provides an effective solution for builders who may not have been able to book Shore in the past because of schedule or cost.

“I don’t think there is anyone out there more in line with Jeff’s training philosophies than Amy.  From the word ‘go,’ they are both in line with not only the message, but also in presentation and style,” said Howard Flaschen, a former sales professional at Richmond American Homes who has been mentored by both Jeff and Amy. “They are a perfect combination in passion and delivery. Jeff is like the composer who writes the music (philosophy) and Amy is the maestro who teaches the orchestra (sales team) how to play (sell).”

Well-respected among her clients and peers, Amy offers a wealth of real world experience developing and delivering training programs based on her impressive tenure managing, coaching and motivating new home sales professionals with some of the top homebuilders in the country.

“I have known Amy for several years and I am consistently impressed with her ability to understand the complexities of different companies and how to adjust a training session or technique to most effectively reach the audience,” said Chuck Cusumano, who formerly worked with and managed Amy at John Wieland Homes, KB Home and Beazer Homes. “Possessing unique qualities rarely seen in one trainer, I think her ability to be articulate, detail-oriented, engaging and dynamic have all helped propel her to the level of success she’s achieved in a relatively short amount of time.”

Amy’s passion and authenticity also plays into her likeability and success among sales professionals. “I believe Amy’s accomplishments rest in the combination of confidence and humility she brings to her training sessions,” said Richard Tiller, long time new home sales trainer and motivational leader who worked as a consultant with Amy at Richmond American Homes. “Her eagerness and desire to create value for others is genuine and resonates with those who she trains.”

Amy brings a decade's worth of industry experience and knowledge to her new position. Starting her career at John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, Amy moved on to Regional Sales Manager for KB Home, National Sales Leadership and Professional Development Manager for Beazer Homes, and Director of Sales (Jacksonville Division) for Richmond American Homes. Most recently, she provided sales consulting for homebuilders including Eric Chafin Homebuilders, K. Hovnanian Homes, Brayson Homes and Richmond American Homes. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of Georgia and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication from Wake Forrest University.

“I have such a deep level of respect and admiration for Jeff that getting to work with him is like a dream come true. I feel like it was what I was born to do,” said O’Connor. “Jeff has inspired me in so many ways, this position is the culmination of my career to date. I’m thrilled to be able to share my passion in selling and growing his message.”
