Both days are filled with music, food, and celebration like the annual Diaper Derby where babies (4-9 months) can compete in a crawling contest that ensures prizes when (and if!) they cross the finish line. Their siblings can visit with the Strawberry Princess for photos and stories. There will be live music and goodies including the traditional Grandma Z’s strawberry shortcake, chocolate dipped strawberries and freshly baked strawberry rhubarb pie. All ages love the 5 acre play area with unique attractions like the pedal cart track, multiple rope swings, the giant jumping pillow, and more. Hayrides take visitors to the strawberry fields and guests are welcome to bring their gear for catch and release fishing in the stocked pond.
Farmer Bob notes that “Great Country Farms is committed to fostering sustainable farming”. The Farm Market carries their own farm raised eggs with meat and dairy products from local producers. You’ll find delicious jams, jellies, and baked good along with gifts from local artists. The Roosteraunt features strawberry slushies and natural hot dogs, burgers, BBQ, and fresh Kettle Corn from 11-4pm.
